Position Summary The Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Communications & Marketing and will be responsible for driving strategy, coordination and execution across multi-channel touchpoints that bring Columbia College???s stories to life, increase awareness of our alumni programs and events, and drive engagement. The Manager will drive the development and execution of our campaign roadmap, leading cross-functional efforts to bring relevant content through our site and marketing channels. This role is highly collaborative, with close partnership and collaboration across the marcomm, digital, and creative teams. We are looking for an expert in consumer marketing, integrated marketing as well as campaign planning. You will have deep experience in driving consumer insights, developing clear and inspiring messaging, creating project plans that guide integrated marketing across all channels, and lead creative campaigns from concept to execution. Responsibilities Develop and lead the execution of the marketing calendar, with 360?? marketing initiatives to build a community who is deeply engaged with Columbia College and the Columbia College Alumni Association Develop compelling marketing plans, in partnership with our Digital, Editorial, Events and Creative teams, as well as with the Alumni Relations & Development department Oversee the creation, management, and optimization of communications for our alumni audience Execute tactical plans that drive alumni loyalty and pipeline development for fundraising opportunities Execute email through Salesforce CRM & email platforms and develop effective messages, CTAs, and copy for email for optimal performance Drive testing to gain channel-level & customer-level insights for program efficiency improvement via better customer engagement Partner with our team of freelance and in-house graphic designers to develop and execute impactful designs for email, social media, website, printed collateral, in alignment with brand standards and campaign goals Support the planning and management of the marketing budget alongside the Director of Marketing & Communications, ensuring budget allocation aligns with the College???s goals Enhance the performance of alumni Marcom campaigns by staying up to date on industry best practices, marketing trends, cultural events, and new technologies Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor???s degree in Marketing or related field Minimum of 3 years of marketing experience with a proven track record managing and executing marketing campaigns Self-directed and curious with ability to take initiative, identify priorities and needs, and problem solve effectively At ease with interaction across all levels of the College; must be able to articulate a vision and develop and deliver supporting marketing plans Able to manage multiple projects and priorities Exemplary written and oral communication skills Strong understanding of email campaign platforms & tools Efficient using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Strong visual aesthetic with intuitive understanding of customer experience and relevance Strong relationship builder both within the organization and with external partners Holds a strong work ethic and standard for which tasks and projects are completed; attention to detail is critical Interested in learning and mastering innovative technologies and comfortable independently seeking information and corralling resources when needed to deliver results **Applications submitted without a resume and cover letter will not be reviewed** Preferred Qualifications Experience with Salesforce CRM & Marketing Cloud a plus Experience with Photoshop or Illustrator a plus Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Veteran Columbia University is committed to the hiring of qualified local residents.
